In 2006 Heike Ackermann opened her store for well-assorted perfumes and cosmetics in the city center of Mainz, Ackermann Beauty. Only two years later she launched a webshop. Today meinduft.de is a well-known address for high-class fragrances, cosmetics, and beauty-products which is highly frequented by customers from everywhere in Germany and beyond.

The relaunch of the Magento webshop in July 2015 was realized by eCommerce agency Splendid Internet. The first steps in the process were the upgrade to Magento Community Edition 1.9 and the removal of old extensions completed by additional maintenance, repair and overhaul for a perfectly smooth operation of the shop in the future. This renewal of the technical infrastructure was followed by the installation of a high-quality responsive theme. Prediger Lichtberater: Success with Magento

With prediger.de Prediger Lichtberater is running one of the leading online stores for designer lighting in Germany. Historically Prediger Lichtberater comes from selling stationary. But for marketing director Matthias Tesche it’s obvious: “Our online shop is not a by-product, it’s a main pillar for our company – the shop serves as central driving force.”

Since 2010 Prediger opts for Magento after initially relying on an in-house development solution. Ecommerce agency TUDOCK imported more than 10.000 products in addition to order and customer data from the old system when relaunching the online store. Switching to Magento made the shop more user-friendly and reduced operating expenses for further development. A mobile solution first launched in 2012 provides a better customer experience on mobile devices.

The online store is closely connected to Prediger’s various sales channels and supports the process of
creating lighting design concepts. Thanks to the special Magento extension “Lichtberatungstool”, a module developed in close collaboration by Prediger and TUDOCK, stationary consultants are able to display the lighting design process online for and communicate interactively with customers. Beyond that prediger.de provides helpful content like journals (“Lichtjournal”), guides (“Lichtberatung in 7 Schritten”) and lighting scenarios which are linked with available products.

As professional Magento service provider TUDOCK collaborates with Prediger by offering continuous Magento support and further development. For example the certification process for the TÜV s@fer-shopping signet requires annual supervision. Currently TUDOCK is developing a product-configurator and works on the integration of the new PIM system.
