Transtec had been using Magento before the company asked Meet Magento Association partner Flagbit to relaunch its online shop shop.transtec.de. The IT solution specialist from Reutlingen/ Germany needed an extended workbench for its business to provide valuable services and a seamless B2B brand experiences to its business clients as well as a platform to present and sell complex IT products. The result is a scalable and performant B2B online shop that increases the sales efficiency remarkably thanks to the newly developed Product Configurator and SalesCockpit.

Magento Enterprise Solution Partner Flagbit upgraded the Transtec online shop to the Magento 2.0 version and implemented an intelligent product configurator as a key feature. Customers can now easily assemble their individual product by choosing from more than 45.000 hardware and software components. The combination of both, Magento and the Flagbit Configurator, provides an easy and suitable high-performance environment for Transtec´s business clients and a modern design, no matter on which device.

Flagbit developed the independent product configurator that is built with the open source framework AngularJS and integrated a specially developed Symfony/ MySQL middleware to connect ERP Microsoft Dynamics AX to the Magento frontend and the configurator. After assembling their product customers can choose between a direct check-out or contacting the sales department, which can review the configurated product in the new sales cockpit and refine the order in a personal chat with the customer. With its new online shop Transtec sets new standards in B2B customer service.
