Great results for Meet Magento Italy, that has sold out for the third consecutive year.
More than 460 attendees, 41 speakers and 20 sponsors (+15% compared to 2015 and + 40% towards 2014) for the third edition of Meet Magento Italy, organized by Webformat. A great success that confirms the importance of “Community events” as real opportunities to create a system between the operators of the e-commerce world.
E-commerce now represents one of the main levers of Italian digital landscape, recording an increase of 16% in 2015, with a turnover of 16.6 million euros.¹
The agenda provided a lot of interesting subjects, from digital payments to SEO, from real-time analytics to app economy and the optimization of customer service. The tech track focused on Magento 2, explained by important speakers as Ben Marks, Max Yekaterynenko, Sergij Shymko and Oleh Kobchenko from Magento.
The main global trends that have been highlighted during the Meet Magento Italy were marketplace, omnichannel strategy and e-commerce for mass retailers.
A lot of speakers, who have addressed the issue of marketplace, have explained how this channel represents an integrated system of online sales, that simplifies product research for the end consumer. Selling via the marketplaces offers to merchants great opportunities for business development, reaching a greater number of users.
During the event it was presented also the case history of Chronodrive Italy of Auchan Group. The group has created digital supermarket, which has recently migrated to Magento, selling even fresh products, and this could be a great opportunity for the Made in Italy.
Another interesting theme was live chat as a customer service experience. Thanks to a clear and high quality chatting communication, the customer confidence towards the brand increases. The 30%² of users, who request information through a designed live chat service, turn into real conversions.
